Listen on:
Susan Anderson LCSW, therapist, author, and expert on abandonment joins the show today. Susan discusses the wounds of physical and emotional abandonment and the long-term impact of both of those unhealed wounds. Having a core wound of being abandoned can cause us to look for love in the wrong places, depression, attempt to seek out comfort in abusive relationships and so much more. Abandonment wounds can be healed, but it takes time, motivation, intention, and consistency to work through the layers.
